Bang for your buck 

This grill is about as inexpensive as it gets. Coming in under $50, I don’t think you can get a better deal on an electric grill that works this well! 

Packaging 

The grill is small and so is the box that it comes in. It’s packaged very nicely and securely and isn’t heavy at all. 

Set up

Because this grill is so small it comes fully intact. The only thing you have to do is screw on the handle for the glass lid and plug in the electric. Everything is nicely wrapped so you have to take off the plastic, but you are ready to grill within minutes of opening the box! 

Size 

This is a tiny 12” round grill so I won’t beat around the bush here. This grill is meant for a 1-2 person meal, no more than that. You can fit two steaks nicely, two burgers, and maybe three chicken breasts. You could fit plenty of veggies to feed 1-2 people, but any more than that and you would be pressed for space. Of course, you could always use this grill in cooking cycles to feed a crowd, but people would be eating at different times. For how small the entire device is, they do a good job of taking advantage of the cooking area to ensure you are getting the most out of the grill. 

Grilling / Usage 

I was very impressed in the actual grilling. I purchased a skinny steak thinking this grill wouldn’t be able to handle a larger 1” thick ribeye or filet, but it did a fantastic job searing the outside of the steaks and giving them grill marks. I left the grill uncovered and the entire time the light would come back on to ensure it was working to stay at the highest temperature. I could have easily cooked a thicker steak and gotten great results. For an electric grill this baby had a fantastic heat source. While I don’t typically prefer a steak cooked on electric, this grill pleasantly surprised me with how good the char tasted on the outside. I would’ve never guessed that it wasn’t cooked over flames. 

The grill grate itself was nice and heavy duty which really shows in the quality of the output. There are some gas grills that have tiny wire grates that don’t do as good of a job as this little thing did. 

Cleaning 

The grill it very tiny and the 12” grill grates pulls right out to allow you to easily wash it and put it back in. The drip pan slides in and out from underneath the grill and keeps all that grease nice and contained to ensure there is no mess around the grill itself while it is in use. 

This grill is as easy to clean as a pan in your kitchen, especially because of its size. There is no sink that this grill grate wouldn’t fit in. 

Overall

If I was planning to go camping in a camper van that had access to electricity or even on a campsite where I knew I could plug this in somewhere, I would get it. If I lived in an apartment and I wasn’t allowed gas grills, this would absolutely be on my list of things to purchase. If I lived alone or with just one other person, this would be an excellent solution to have delicious summer meals on the BBQ without all the hassle. 

Overall this grill impressed me. Without even closing the lid it cooked our steaks to perfection. If we had a thicker piece of meat it would have been nice to have the option to cover up the grill allowing it to act as an oven and cook the meat throughout. The quality of the grates gave our steaks the perfect char on the outside which was completely unexpected.
